SHOPPER SAFETY
Shopper safety
A safer market visit begins before the meeting: understand the service, confirm the details, protect sensitive information, and act early when something does not feel right.
Before requesting a Guide
Start by reading the current Guide profile and service description carefully. Check the market, type of help offered, fee, specialties, availability, and any limits. Verification is useful information, but it does not replace your own judgment about whether the service fits your needs.
Keep your request focused on the purpose of the market visit. You should not need to share a home address, bank PIN, password, one-time code, complete card number, or unrelated identity information to ask whether a Guide is available.
Think about practical needs before you send the request: the products or market areas you want to explore, how much time you have, accessibility or mobility considerations, language or communication needs, and the safest convenient meeting point.
- Choose only a service whose description you understand.
- Use official KRI communication and support channels when available.
- Do not move a conversation to an unfamiliar channel merely because someone pressures you.
Before confirming a booking
A request becomes a booking only after the Guide accepts it. Review the confirmed date, time, market, public meeting point, service scope, expected duration, Guide fee, additional agreed expenses, and payment method. Ask for clarification before the visit if any item is missing or different from what you requested.
Do not assume that transport, product inspection, negotiation, delivery, carrying goods, or extra waiting time is included unless the service or confirmed arrangement says so. Agreeing boundaries early reduces pressure and misunderstandings in the market.
When useful, tell a trusted person where you are going, who you plan to meet, and when you expect to finish. Keep your phone charged and preserve access to the booking details and emergency contacts.
- Do not accept an unexpected fee or a private meeting location without understanding and freely agreeing to the change.
- Plan how you will return safely, especially when a visit may end late or involve carrying purchases.
Meeting your Guide in public
Meet at the public location confirmed in the booking. Check that the person, profile, and service details match what you expected before leaving the meeting area. If the identity, location, price, or proposed service is materially different, pause and use KRI support instead of feeling obliged to continue.
Stay aware of your surroundings and belongings. Avoid displaying large amounts of cash, handing an unlocked phone to another person, or allowing someone to take possession of your payment card, identity document, or account device.
Market conditions can change, but safety should not be treated as an inconvenience. You may end the meeting if the situation feels threatening, deceptive, or substantially different from the confirmed arrangement.
During the market visit
Keep the agreed purpose and boundaries in mind as you move through the market. A Guide can provide local context, but you remain responsible for deciding what to buy, what price to accept, and whether a product or seller meets your needs.
Do not follow anyone into an unexpected private or isolated location. If a route, shop, vehicle, or additional person makes you uncomfortable, say so and move toward a busy public area. You do not have to continue merely because a booking exists.
Treat the Guide, sellers, workers, and other visitors respectfully. Safety includes avoiding harassment, threats, unlawful activity, discriminatory conduct, and requests that would put another person at risk.
Payments and purchases
The Guide's service fee and the price of products bought from market sellers are separate unless the booking explicitly states otherwise. Confirm each amount and recipient before paying. Where the booking indicates direct payment to the Guide after the visit, follow that arrangement and keep the payment reference or receipt available.
Inspect goods and understand the seller's terms before purchasing. KRI and the Guide do not automatically guarantee authenticity, condition, price, warranty, delivery, or refund rights for goods sold by an independent market seller.
Be cautious if anyone changes account details unexpectedly, requests several split payments without a clear reason, asks for a one-time code, or insists that you ignore the confirmed arrangement. Pause the transaction and verify through an official channel.
Protecting accounts and personal information
Passwords, PINs, one-time codes, recovery phrases, and complete card details are private. A Guide, seller, or ordinary support agent should not need them. Enter sensitive information only in the appropriate secure service that you intentionally opened.
Share only the personal information needed for the booking. Avoid revealing private financial circumstances, home access details, unrelated identity documents, or information about another person. Review screenshots before sending them and hide unrelated account details.
If you believe an account or payment credential has been exposed, contact the relevant bank or service provider promptly, secure the account, and then report the related KRI activity when safe.
After the visit
Confirm that the agreed Guide service has ended and that any payment matches the confirmed arrangement. Keep relevant booking details, receipts, transfer references, and messages until you are satisfied that no support issue remains.
Leave an honest review when reviews are available. Describe the service you actually experienced, avoid exaggeration or personal attacks, and do not publish private information. Useful feedback helps future shoppers and gives KRI clearer signals about marketplace quality.
If you left property behind, received the wrong charge, experienced a no-show, or need to raise another concern, contact official support with the relevant facts as soon as reasonably possible.
Reporting a concern
Report identity mismatches, harassment, threats, unsafe locations, misleading services, suspicious payment requests, privacy concerns, no-shows, or other serious booking problems through KRI's official support contact. Include the booking reference, profile, time, market, and a factual account of what occurred.
Keep evidence that can be reviewed, but do not place yourself in danger to obtain it. A report may lead to questions, a temporary restriction, further verification, or another protective step while KRI considers the available information.
Urgent situations
If you or another person faces immediate danger, leave the area if you can do so safely and contact local emergency authorities, emergency services, or market security. KRI support is not an emergency service and cannot provide immediate physical assistance.
Once the urgent situation is being handled and it is safe to communicate, report the related Guide profile or booking to KRI. This can support a marketplace review, but it should not delay seeking immediate local help.
